A carpenter and designer from Boston, Massachusetts has created a new kind of buzz on the property market, after building a selection of ‘micro houses' at the cost of less than $200 each.
33-year-old Derek Diedricksen uses discarded household items to make his range of innovative homes - the smallest of which measures just four square feet.
Derek's unique houses are all lavishly decorated with features like stained glass windows and wine bottle bottoms, which he believes adds to their ability to help those who stay in the minute structures clear their heads and ‘think outside the box'. He explained that he has been obsessed with the idea of building tiny properties since being given a book on the subject for his 10th birthday.
If you are thinking of buying a South West property which is perhaps a little more spacious than Diedricksen's, be sure to contact our estate agents in Somerset, Devon or Cornwall today.
