The property occupies a quiet and idyllic rural location surrounded by open farmland and fields. Ilfracombe is just a short drive along the coast, approximately 5 miles away, and has plenty of coastal charm a picturesque harbour which is home to the world-renowned artist's Damien Hirst's 60ft high bronze Verity statue. There are also further shops bars and restaurants to enjoy there and a Tesco supermarket. The cathedral city of Exeter is approximately 50 miles away with direct rail links to the main line stations in London.

For those with children, there are some excellent schools throughout the area, many that hold the ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted. North Devon’s main Private School is West Buckland and is a coeducational day and boarding school for ages 3 – 18.
