Director Lee Hussell talks about the property market and their exciting new sales service.
How are Webbers finding the property market at the moment?
"Very productive I would say, we have been very busy so far this year and with the summer market now well and truly with us we are seeing excellent sales results across our branches. There are sales being agreed across the price spectrums and we are achieving some record prices in some cases and often have multiple buyers chasing one property. Now is a great time if you are thinking of selling"
Is there anything new Webbers have added to their service recently?
"We are continually looking at ways to improve what we do and stay ahead of the game. There are so many 'new initiatives' out there but we have to look closely at what we believe adds the greatest value for our customers and clients. Technology plays a massive role in our industry now and we want to embrace that the best way we can. We now have the ability for customers to get a free, quick and easy online valuation and we have also just added the ability for a homeowner to physically book a market appraisal appointment with one of our experts directly from our website. We are also just launching a really exciting new service often referred to as 'the modern method of sale'; this is something that I have been working on for the past couple of months"
The 'modern method of sale'? Sounds interesting, tell us more....
"Well this is a brand new sales service for us and for the right properties and the right circumstances has been producing excellent sales results for thousands of home sellers throughout the UK. What's more, it is a commission free service where the seller does not pay an agency fee! The service is also designed to generate more interest and more viewings on our clients properties and also finds the best possible buyer who will pay the best possible price through a competitive pricing strategy with no ceiling limit and which also financially commits the successful purchaser on the agreement of a sale and commits them to fixed timescales for exchange of contracts and completion"
No commission fees, more viewings, best price, financial commitment and fixed time scales; sounds great, how does it work?
"In basic terms, we have an online platform that enables interested buyers to bid for the property in an open and transparent manner. The property is advertised with a starting price and bids are made online, from the comfort of one’s home, at any time of the day or night. The seller is protected to ensure they achieve a price that suits them as each home is sold subject to an undisclosed reserve figure. The system works in a very similar fashion to eBay but unlike eBay our solution will keep the bidding going even at the scheduled end of the bidding process to enable ALL bids to be counted regardless of time. This will ensure best price is achieved. A successful buyer is committed financially at the end of the bidding process and then has up to 28 days in order to exchange contracts with up to a further 28 days thereafter to complete the purchase if required"
I like the sound of that and I am sure there will be plenty of sellers out there that do too; how do they go about finding out more and signing up to the service?
"This system is available across our 16 branch network and we have dedicated online sales specialists to help guide buyers and sellers through the process from start to finish.
