Webbers Estate Agents were delighted to return to Guildford this weekend for their Annual Guildford Property Exhibition, held on Saturday 16th May at the G Live Centre in the heart of Guildford, Surrey.
The event once again proved to be a valuable opportunity to meet motivated buyers from Guildford, the surrounding Home Counties and the wider South East, many of whom are actively considering a move to the West Country for lifestyle, space, scenery and a different pace of life.
Webbers have been running their Guildford Exhibition for over 30 years, making it one of the company’s longest-standing and most proactive out-of-area marketing initiatives. While the venue has changed over the years, the G Live Centre has become a familiar and successful setting for the event, offering an excellent central location for prospective buyers to come and explore the wide range of properties currently available across the Webbers region.
The exhibition was attended this year by Board Director Lee Hussell, Leah Wickett from Webbers’ Launceston office in Cornwall, and Claire Beale from the Wellington office in Somerset. With Lee primarily based in North Devon, the team were able to offer excellent first-hand knowledge across the three counties in which Webbers operates: Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
Lee Hussell, Board Director at Webbers, said:
The event followed an extensive eight-week advertising and promotional campaign across the Surrey area, designed to maximise awareness and attendance. Webbers also worked closely with their sister Fine & Country office in Guildford, using their local knowledge and expertise to reach homeowners in the area who may be considering relocating to Devon, Cornwall or Somerset.

Alongside the wider marketing campaign, Webbers’ in-house Customer Care team made hundreds of personal calls to applicants registered on the company database who live in and around Guildford, inviting them to attend the exhibition and speak directly with the team.
The result was a strong and steady flow of visitors throughout the five-hour event, with buyers attending to discuss a broad range of requirements. Many were looking to move for lifestyle reasons, with interest spanning everything from coastal retreats and countryside homes to village properties, larger family houses, bungalows and homes closer to national parks, beaches and open space.
Lee added:
The West Country continues to hold strong appeal for buyers from the South East, offering a rare combination of dramatic coastline, unspoilt countryside, vibrant towns and villages, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, and some of the UK’s finest golden sand beaches. For many visitors, the exhibition provided an opportunity to compare locations, understand values across different areas, and gain a clearer sense of the lifestyle benefits that come with moving west.
The event also reinforced Webbers’ commitment to proactive marketing and reaching the widest possible audience for its clients’ properties.
Lee commented:
Following the exhibition, the Webbers team will now continue to work closely with a number of active buyers from the Guildford and South East area, many of whom are planning visits to the West Country over the coming summer months to view suitable homes.
Lee concluded:
Webbers would like to thank everyone who attended the exhibition, as well as the wider team involved in the planning, promotion and delivery of another successful Guildford event.
