Webbers Fine and Country who are luxury estate agents based in the south west have recently made a financial donation following the latest round of grant funding from the Fine and Country foundation.

The foundation is an initiative launched by Fine and Country many years ago with its purpose to reduce rough sleeping in the UK. The autumn applications saw a submission by the Freedom Centre who area charity based in Barnstaple who work hard in the community from their substantial facility which includes a drop in day centre providing hot meals to those vulnerable.

There are four sleep pods within the building at the centre for those most in need. Andrew Simpson who heads up the Fine and Country department alongside fellow Director Lindsay Braddick were given a tour of the facility recently by Lorna Jones chief fundraiser and Phil Noall who is the chief executive to see how the £1,500 had been put to very good use.

Commenting on behalf of Fine and Country Andrew said “ it was a real insight to see the superb work that the Freedom centre undertake and how they have a real three dimensional approach to helping those in most need. There are many affiliated professionals based in the centre including mental health and medical staff, housing officers, counsellors and an outreach team responding to many situations across north Devon, Andrew went on to say “ the Kitchen staff work incredibly hard to ensure that the day centre serves nutritional hot meals.

Phil Noall  CEO of the Freedom Centre  said “ We are really grateful for the ongoing support of the Fine and Country Foundation.  With so many people now struggling with the cost of living we have seen a huge increase in the amount of vulnerable people asking us for help, and it is only with the support of organisations like Fine and Country that we can keep meeting the demand.
